It is obtained by the reaction of octaol and hydrogen bromide. Heat the alcohol to 100 ℃, pass in dry hydrogen bromide, and keep the reaction temperature at 100-120 ℃ until the solution no longer absorbs hydrogen bromide. Bromide is layered, organic plus concentrated sulfuric acid is taken to wash, the bromide after acid removal is mixed with 90% methanol of equal volume, ammonia water is added to wash to make the bromide alkaline, then 90% methanol is used to wash and dry with anhydrous calcium chloride. Finally, it is distilled under reduced pressure, and the fraction at 209-211 ℃(1.33kPa) is collected as the finished product with 90% yield.
